After studying abroad for two weeks in Amsterdam, I designed and screen printed a poster inspired by my experiences while overseas. This poster includes some of Amsterdam's symbolism, including a windmill, railroad sign, triple X, bicycle, and unique architecture. The color combination was derived from the broad range of emotions I felt while exploring the city—from the therapeutic bicycle rides throughout the city streets and parks, to the rush of excitement and admiration I felt while visiting various design firms with classmates. The final composition invokes the same avidity that I felt while abroad. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
